Teesside University were in urgent need of 300 additional student accommodation bed spaces by September 2020, and only one town centre site was available. Wates were chosen to carry out feasibility works under the Scape Venture framework to ascertain whether the scheme was viable (following the success of the National Horizons Centre project we delivered for them in 2018.)
Cornell is one of the largest schemes procured under the Scape Venture framework to date. With a duration of just 24 weeks from inception at feasibility to starting on site, it demonstrates just how quickly schemes can be mobilised using Scape processes.
